SOLD Set of 6 Aztec Copper Money Currency Blades
A set of 6 Aztec so called hoe blades or (in Spanish) Tajaderos. These 15th centuyr hoe blade shaped coppers were used by the Aztecs, and later by the Spanish, as currency. One of these was worth around 8000 cacaoseads.
As a object they are intersting for there geometric shape combined with a centuries old patina.
We mounted these on custom iron stands.
