19th Century Ceramic Pot ‘Pigeon Lovenest’ Tablelamp
A 19th century ceramic vase turned in to a tablelamp. These pots were used, particularly in the South of France, to provide breeding nests for pigeons in barns and sheds. As they are flat at on side they stack easy in to a large piramidshape. These were very spontaniously decorated with slashes of green glaze. Combined with their soft patina these vases have a attractive abstract beauty.
