Early 18th century Italian walnut sarcristy credenza cupboard
A great example of a early Italian Walnut Sacristy cupboard. Credenza's like these were originally made for high ranking clergymen or nobility to organise and safeguard valuables and important documents. In this case there are even hidden compartiments in the upper body. Genius in its simplicity the absence of hinges also add to the overall beautiful design and proportions. The walnut is of exceptional quality.
Interestingly this piece could be used in a dining rooom, den, library, etc... It would offcourse also make a great bar with the upper compartiments to 'hide' fine spirits. As the bottom piece is quite deep there could even be a small refrigarator or washing machine integrated behind the doors. Ideal for a mancave.....
